Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to read the Milano Herald. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What we do

  • Headings, landmarks and a skip link on every page.
  • Text alternatives for illustrations, and decorative images hidden from screen readers.
  • Text and links with color contrast that meets level AA.
  • Everything works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
  • Pages that still work when text is enlarged to 200%.
  • Motion that stops when your device asks for reduced motion.

How we check

We test pages with automated accessibility checks and by hand with a keyboard, on desktop and phone screen sizes.

Tell us about a problem

If something does not work for you, contact the Nota team through heynota.com and say which page and what happened. We will reply and fix it.
